Children's Day is to celebrate "childhood". On Children’s Day tribute is payed to all children in the world. Children are loved by one and all. They win over our hearts with their angelic eyes and innocent smiles. It makes one realize that maybe that’s the way God wanted us to be. Here some pictures of how we celebrated Children´Day at school.

PORQUE ES IMPORTANTE LA LECTURA

A pesar de saber o instruir los beneficios que la lectura entrega a los niños, es conveniente aclarar dudas, repasar las ventajas o sobretodo redoblar nuestro convencimiento de que si fomentamos el gusto por la lectura en nuestros hijos, les estaremos ofreciendo uno de los regalos más hermosos que un padre pueda dar.
La magia empieza ahí... en el preciso momento....en que abres...un libro.
Aquí un listado de ventajas:
Enriquece al niño en todos los aspectos de su personalidad (intelectual, afectivo, emocional, íntimo).
La literatura lo enriquece, por el valor artístico que adquiere el lenguaje.
Lo prepara para la lectura de aprendizaje: si el niño disfruta de fantásticas aventuras y hermosos cuentos será capaz de estudiar con un mínimo de interés teoría, historias distintas a sus gustos y motivaciones.
Despierta su imaginación.
Favorece el desarrollo de su espíritu crítico y su razonamiento.
Estimula las capacidades lingüísticas:(enriquece vocabulario, y en consecuencia la expresión tanto oral y escrita.)
Al leerles o narrarles en voz alta se potencia su capacidad de escucha y amplía la atención, aspectos importantes para toda comunicación.
Se puede agregar además que cuando el libro toca al niño, cuando se acomoda en su interior afectivo, corre a compartirlo con un ser querido.
Compartir lecturas con los niños favorece su espontánea expresión de sentimientos.
A través de los cuentos aprenderá de la condición humana: descubrirá valores, pero también el odio, la maldad etc., es decir lo ayudará a relacionarse.
El libro acerca al niño al mundo de los adultos, le muestra sus estructuras, convencionalismos, valores y contravalores.
Los libros pueden abrir una ventana por la que entre algo de creatividad y que despierte nuevos intereses y aficiones.
El libro es un instrumento fabulosos para una permanente formación intelectual, moral afectiva y estética del niño.
La lista es infinita...sólo he querido compartir algunas ventajas con Uds., prueben y disfruten cada momento de lectura con sus hijos y verán los logros que podrán conseguir.

MORE ABOUT THE TRADITIONAL FOOD OF THE COAST.

Peru is one of the world's top two producers and exporters of unusually high-protein fishmeal" for use in livestock/aquaculture feed. Its richness in fish and other aquatic life is enormous, and many oceanic plant and animal species can only be found in Peru. Every coastal region, being distinct in "Flora (plants)" Fauna (animals)" populations, adapts its cuisine in accordance to the resources available in its waters.
"Ceviche" with its many different variations (pure, combination, or mixed with fish and shellfish) is a good example of this regional adaptation. Ceviche is found in almost all Peruvian restaurants specialized in this country's world renowned fish and seafood.
Chupe de camarones is one of the most popular dishes of Peruvian coastal cuisine. It is made from a thick freshwater shrimp (crayfish) stock soup, potatoes, milk and chili pepper. Chupe de Camarones is regularly found in Peruvian restaurants specialized in Arequipa cuisine.

Cuisine of the Northern Coast
The cuisine of the northern coast offers a difference in style from the central and southern varieties.The widely different climates between Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, La Libertad, contribute to the variety of dishes in these areas.
Northern Style Dishes:

"Seco de Cabrito (goat stew, but goat is often substituted by lamb, chicken, or beef) is made in a pot after marinating with "Chicha" de jora or beer and other spices including fresh coriander leaves "Cilantro" and garlic. This is most popular in the northern coast especially in "Lambayeque"
Cebiche de Conchas Negras (ceviche with black shells) is a dish of “Piura" and "Tumbes” is also popular along the southern coast of "Ecuador” due to Peruvian influence. In this version of ceviche, the seafood used in the dish should be black "Clams" accompanied toasted corn.
